| Built in 1911, this is the oldest electric plant built on the banks of the Kiso River. It was given the title of a modern National Treasure. It also serves as a good example of the history of the development of hydro electric power in Japan. The archive display shows many interesting daily life & cultural exhibits from the 18th as well as the beginning of the 19th century.
